One of my favorite places

One of my favorite places in this area is a small artists community about twenty minutes south. Here I have found pottery, jewelry, photographs, and enjoyed countless lunches in great little restaurant. Every time I go to this little "town" I wander into the bookstore. And usually I walk out with a few new books to read. With my latest purchase came a bookmark with the address and name of the store, and this anonymous quote:

"A bookstore is one of the only pieces of physical evidence we have that people are still thinking."

i love it! somedays i truly wonder if anyone is thinking... and then i realize, oh yeah that includes you hotcup... get a move on.

Where are you visiting?

It is absolutely certain that walking into a bookstore will give me a sense of well being. If I'm in a real pickle, it might struggle to break through, but it almost always will. If they ever bottle the scent - new books plus coffee - I will get it.

The quotation is by Jerry Seinfeld and one of my favorites.

What a great quote. I love towns like the one you describe. There's one about an hour from me that I just don't get to very often, and sadly, there's no bookstore! I love being in a bookstore. Just reading titles as I browse the stacks or tables is like consuming a feast.

Oh but when do you find or make time to read?

Praise for Seinfeld..or whomever said that! I feel that, too. Sometimes I wonder about whether folks in this part of the world still read books or if FOX News is their only source of information! (Oh...that was bad...)

P-Squared...in my area of the country I think FOX is the primary source of information...and that is really sad...
