Direct, but not harsh....I agree, not harsh at all. Direct, but not harsh. I think it's pastoral and mature, and will be a blessing in your ministry together.

It has been a blessing to me. I'm 10 months into my new call (my second, but first as a solo) and it helped me to hear about that anxiety for some time after the arrival of a new pastor. The church and I have been moving with such excitement since I arrived, that now that we're settling in a little more I think I'M the one getting anxious - - Can this be sustained? Will we figure out things for long term ministry instead of quick celebratory new fun things? How are we going to make this work for more than just a year? It's not just me. Those who are level-headed enough to be anxious with me are anxious, too.

Thank you for reminding me of the normalcy of this, and the reasons not to let it take over.Stephanie Anthony/She Revhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10089531643725874239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2678482213828648107.post-75087264058754142872008-10-25T20:59:00.000-04:002008-10-25T20:59:00.000-04:00Yes!
