Mostly these efforts have manifested in discord, impolite behavior, rudeness, a failure to be kind...</i><br /><br />I encountered this yesterday, first at church, and then later through an email exchange with a member of the church. (Blogged it). It's not just the mentally ill or the angry that perpetrate violent speech, or manipulate others to experience a sense of control and power. I wish I knew how to reach those who feel it necessary to act in such a way. Preaching love, preaching non-violence, preaching treating each other with dignity and respect falls on deaf ears and bounces off hearts that are boarded up against such benevolence.
