Bobcat Family

Here is a short video of the bobcat family that has decided to live on the roof of the house across the street. Good thing no one is living in that house....

I remember seeing a bobcat in our neighborhood in Phoenix way back when we lived there. At least I think it was. It was too big for a house cat, but I didn't really feel like investigating.

Wow. We used to get bobcats in our back yard. While they are so gorgeous and the babies so cute, they'll eat your housepets in no time flat without so much as a thank-you-very-much.

Seriously, across the street?

Yes. Across the street. My husband walked over and told the neighbors next to the bobcat house and warned them...They'll keep a close eye on their kids. Our dogs are bigger than the bobcats, but we go outside with them anyway. It is so cool, and so disconcerting at the same time....

You've got to respect their intelligence--that is a really good defensive position and prey surveillance spot.

It would disconcert me, too.

Wow. I don't think we have these in the East. I guess you can't let your cats outside. They don't go after humans?

Can you tell I come from New York? ;-)

They really are cute, but still...
We don't have a bobcat issue, but our yard seems to be over-run with rabbits who like to eat our vegetation.

Wow! Yes, cool but disconcerting; I'm with you there. I love seeing the occasional coyote where we live, and I always remind people that they lived here before we did.
