Caller ID

After years of resisting this... I finally got caller ID. Can I just say how much I LOVE IT...

I love looking at the number and saying, "oh it's my daughter, son, husband, etc...".

or conversely, "It's a toll call, I am not answering this one..."

I have caller ID on my cell phone, but not the house phone. I am still amazed when someone answers my call and greets me before I say anything! You'll be doing that now, too.

I don't have it on my cell phone, or at least I don't use it. But at home, oy, way too many telemarketing calls and "refinance your student loans..." - After a few years of having it at church I decided it was worth it for home as well....and now I'm grateful to know who is there before I answer. I realize I may miss out on the occasional national research poll, but I'll take my chances...

and maybe I'll answer as you suggest, I haven't thus far...

I got caller ID after my son got scared from picking up the phone and no one would be on the other end, happening more than once a day. Creepy. I didn't like it either. Stopped right away with the Caller ID and on top of that, got Privacy Guard.

I still just say "hello" when I answer the phone. Seems polite to me. Somebody should write a Caller ID etiquette book.

I have been waffling....seems like a want not need but I do like it on the cell and at work....and the cat obviously needs to know whose calling (great pic!)
BTW: If you'd like a break from all those phone calls, I tagged you for a meme over at my place
