Monsoon Season

Apparently Arizona has a monsoon season. It rains every day. EVERY day. It becomes cool but HUMID (yuck, give me the dry heat any day)...and it becomes weird...like toxic toads that are bigger than your fist...don't touch 'em or you'll be in pain for many hours....

Anyway, here are some photos of the weather today....

As the monsoon was blowing in over the mountains:

And as the monsoon blew away...

Wow. I didn't know it EVER rained in Arizona (I guess that's California, according to the song, huh? :-)

Great photos. How beautiful...

Monsoons sound exotic...and sound like they'd grow old pretty quickly.
Take good care-- and enjoy the view.

Great pictures. I didn't know that about Arizona either.
Gorgeous, as usual. Godchild was in Tucson where she went to grad school last week. She said it was hot and dry, much better than stick NY.
oy! i'm not brave enough to live anywhere if i have to battle toxic toads...

I actually enjoyed the monsoons in India, because they brought some relief from the heat (and occasional school closings). No toxic toads, though.
